Just had my first exam of 2011.
WHAT. IS. MY. LIFE.
I like statistics but I REALLY wish I didn’t suck so badly at it. That was by far the worst exam of my life. Statistics is the one thing that I try really hard at and just cannot seem to get. Okay, maybe chemistry too, but that’s out of my life.
I know why I want this minor. I like statistics. It should make sense. It DOES make sense, sometimes, in rare moments of enlightenment when ensnared in one of many hours spent holed up in the help room or a professor’s office. It only takes the next assignment/quiz/test to completely unravel any understanding I thought I might have had.
kiiillllllll meeeeee
EDIT: Also, it’s Chinese New Year and I am entrenched in stat-woes instead of being at home with my family. ALTERNATE REALITY: Melissa is a dual-degree law and masters of public policy student at NUS, having reunion dinner with the rest of the Yeo clan, nomming on steamboat and pineapple tarts, rolling in angpow money and most importantly, staying at least a hundred feet away from statistics of any form. Nothing but essays, 4.0 GPA, conversations with Kishore Mahbubani on the reg. TAKE ME THERE THANKS
